FAQ

Uncomfortable questions, honest answers

Delivery, accuracy, the original document, who can see your invoices — and everything else we will not claim.

Do you send invoices to Peppol, eAddress, or VID?

No. Delivery is outside the service. We produce files and data — JSON, UBL XML, a validation report, CSV, and the original file. Sending them to a recipient, a Peppol Access Point, a national channel, or a tax authority stays with you.

Terms of Service §6

How accurate is extraction? What percentage is automated?

Extraction uses machine learning and can produce errors — amounts, tax, parties, dates, and lines. We do not publish an accuracy figure. You must verify the extracted data and the output files before accounting, tax, payment, or sending them on. A measured rate, when we have one, will describe past performance — not a warranty on your documents.

Terms of Service §9

Is the electronic invoice the legal original?

For incoming invoices, no. Extracted data and generated XML are a derived representation, produced for structured import. The authoritative version is the source file you uploaded, which we store and link to the record.

Terms of Service §8

Who can see my invoices?

Supervisors are assigned to every organisation. They can view documents and correct extracted fields — that is part of the service, not an exception. Support has read-only access. All such actions go to the audit log. Organisations are isolated from each other.

Terms of Service §10

Does this make me compliant with Latvian B2B e-invoicing?

No. We do not represent that using the service makes you compliant with any e-invoicing mandate. The Latvian B2B obligation is postponed to 2028; we sell throughput, not a compliance stamp. Latvia B2G is already mandatory: we produce the EN 16931 file, you deliver it.

Terms of Service §6

Do you archive my documents?

No. The service is not an archive of accounting source documents. Statutory retention remains yours. Keep your own records independently of Bizalma.

Terms of Service §6 and §17

Do you guarantee Peppol BIS?

Peppol BIS dispatchable is opt-in and not warranted. Reaching it depends on data often absent from the source — electronic addresses and a buyer or order reference. We do not warrant that any document will reach its target level. The validation report states the level actually reached.

Terms of Service §7

Is there an uptime SLA?

No. The service is provided without a committed service level. We aim for continuous availability but do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Terms of Service §13

Do you encrypt data at rest? Do you take backups?

We do not claim encryption at rest, or backups and recovery. Those measures are not in the DPA. When a procedure exists, a row will appear — not before.
